Taizé-Inspired Worship
-
Welcome to Casas Adobes UCC Taizé-styled worship.
Taizé is a contemplative experience practiced by the Ecumenical Community in Taizé Burgundy, France. However, our service is an adaptation of the traditional Taizé, maintaining core aspects while adapting it for our context.
If you are new to our service, here’s what to expect:
The service will alternate prayers, readings, chants and meditative silences.
Silences lasting about three to eight minutes.
Because our community values diverse voices, our readings are longer than some traditional Taizé services.
A period of quiet music and meditation begins about 10 minutes before the service. When the music begins, please observe silence.
-
Taizé services are held the second Thursday of each month at 6:30pm in the Sanctuary.

For those unable to attend the in-person service, we offer a video link to a previously recorded Taizé service.
